We need Video Producers, a Database Administrator, Policy Researchers and Event Organizers



Volunteer Position descriptions:

Video Producers: Seeking volunteers from across Canada to produce 6 short videos that highlight Democracy Watch's campaigns for democratic good government, corporate responsibility and bank accountability in Canada.

Database Administrator: Seeking one volunteer for this Ottawa-based position involves updating databases and other administrative tasks (sending letters, responding to information requests etc.).

Policy Researchers: Seeking several volunteers across Canada to conduct research on good government laws.  The research can be conducted anywhere in Canada.

Event Organizers: Seeking volunteers across Canada:
  • to organize public events for Democracy Watch to help spread the word about our campaigns (travel, accommodation and speaking fees required to be raised for each event);
  • to organize CoffeeParty.ca movement local events, and;
  • to organize workshops and courses for the Democracy Education Network's Democracy Skills Workshops program (attendance fees required to be raised for each workshop or course).

Required qualifications:

For Database Administrator, commitment to volunteer with Democracy Watch and Democracy Education Network on a long-term basis (at least two years), skilled typist, knowledge and experience of database software, knowledge and experience of general office administrative tasks.  For Policy Researchers, commitment to conduct high quality research with no errors.  For Event Organizers, enthusiasm and commitment to raise funds and fees to cover costs of events.

Preferred qualifications: bilingual (English/French).
